Common houseflies can be very persistent when trying to get to their meal. Most times houseflies will rest on window blinds, ceilings, countertops, floors, or even near potential food. The appetite for flies usually is feeding on organic material. This means many flies feed on, feces, fruit, vegetables, meat, animals, and plants. In order to take in food, houseflies will vomit on their meal, causing the meal to break down into a liquid.
